Saw three Yellow Jacket clones this weekend in West Texas. Wish I'd brought my camera. Easy to tell they were clones but also each one a little different. Smallest one was sick and I'm sure he'll look better another day. #2 and #3 were closer to being what you would think clones would look like, except #3 the largest one overpowered #2 in thickness of top and rearend. He was just impressive. All 3 were colored just like original YJ, with great hair, however they had been in Kansas so I'm sure that had something to do with all that hair. Another plus was the fact that all 3 were just like an old Yeller Lab dog, they just wanted to be scratched and rubbed, you had to push 'em to get 'em to move. Glad I stopped by, not every day you get to see cloned bulls, and I may be wrong but am thinking these are the only YJ clones. BTW, lots of good calves in West Texas this weekend.
