We don't personally have any Excalibur calves on the ground this year but I was really impressed with the ones I saw in Denver. Overall, they had a really nice look to them. Based on Excalibur himself, I would agree with Wright-Way and try to use him on the deeper sided, softer made cows.
Doc pretty much covered everything in his post... but overall it really just depends on the person/firm you chose to manage the sale. Most of the time the manager takes care of all billing and collections, advertising (but doesn't hurt to do some of this on your own as well), catalog layout and...
I really liked him when Lawrence sold him in his online sale and then had that chance to see him at stud shortly after that...... I was still really impressed with him after seeing him there and actually thought he was a lot stouter than I thought he was going to be. Really complete bull with...
I wouldn't worry about the structure on a Dream On at all... Normally he's pretty hard to beat phenotypically... I think the one and only reason you don't see to many of them anymore is simply because there were so many of them for awhile and everyone has been trying to find the outcross to...
Got a couple more pics taken this weekend... and thought I'd post them for all of you who like to see how some of these bulls are working... both of these calves are March born full sibs out of Silveiras Style and a MoBetter donor cow. I think I mentioned it last time but it's worth saying...
Not sure if you have the availability of another farm or place that you could bring her to for a day to work with her at, but we've had that work for us in the past. The key being it's worked with animals that are just plain stubborn but not wild. Seems like if we can spend an entire day with...
Thanks again everyone for your comments.. To answer where they're headed.. the first 2 (Style hfr and baldy Lookout) will sell on our production sale in December and the solid black Lookout will sell on the NAILE sale in KY.
Thanks everyone, disposition on the Lookouts this year has been real good. Easy to break and easy to work with. We had a few last year out of a different donor (grandam to the baldy Lookout pictured) that were a little bit harder headed to begin with but probably did more talking then actual...
Hi All,
Thought some of you might like to see how Lookout and Style are working on the Simmental cattle... by the way, we love the way these two Angus bulls cross with our Simmental cows.
Z102W is a January Style calf out of our Pearl donor (Black Joker)
Z18W is a February Lookout out of our...

Scott,
Just got a few on the ground ourselves... but our overall impression mixed in with some others that we've heard around the industry... is that he tends to make them alot like himself... tons of middle and super soft just not the stoutest. Have heard some say they tended to be a little...
Love our Steel Force calves and they've all been purebreds..... love the extension and smoothness he tends to put in their fronts and they're normally pretty soft made and structurally correct. Really liked Steel Force in Denver when SVF had him there as a calf just didn't know if he was going...
