I would also recommend the Schaff (SAV) bulls. Pioneer, Mandan, Potency, Brilliance are good!
Also, if you can get it, Dameron First Class. Or EXAR Classen, a First Class son.

Our experience with SAV cattle has been great. Excellent growth, beautifull phenotype, and gentle. Most frame 6 or a little more.
We are in Central Texas where things have veen tough (drouth). The SAV cattle have done as well as any other and better than a bunch.

It IS frustrating when a fullblood gets classed out and a maine cross wins. But that is part of it.
Agree, some classifiers may not really know Angus cattle.

Champ Angus was very good. He was also a Heatwave. Not sure how he got classed. 30 kicked out, including about 15 full-blood Angus. Happens every year.
