any opinions on these angus sires?

I would also recommend the Schaff (SAV) bulls. Pioneer, Mandan, Potency, Brilliance are good! Also, if you can get it, Dameron First Class. Or EXAR Classen, a First Class son. BC Lookout works well on big cows.

    Schaff Angus Valley

Our experience with SAV cattle has been great. Excellent growth, beautifull phenotype, and gentle. Most frame 6 or a little more. We are in Central Texas where things have veen tough (drouth). The SAV cattle have done as well as any other and better than a bunch.

    Ft Worth.

Chambrero, thanks for the response. It IS frustrating when a fullblood gets classed out and a maine cross wins. But that is part of it. Agree, some classifiers may not really know Angus cattle. Some hav e great POWER not foud in typical Angus. Good comments.

    Ft Worth.

Chambero, I  said nothing about cheating. And, I love the competition. I even stated, I wish to get as good at the game as those that get exotics in the Angus class consistently. Whoever said that Angus do not have that big old square butt like a Maine should have seen our Lutton calf. The...

    Ft Worth.

Chambero, you are right. From my info, those fitting the champ "dressed him down" for the classification. I know we have told our customers to lead them through "dirty" with the hair pulled down. I also will tell them in the future to lead them  through toward the last if possible. 5 of the...

Champ Angus was very good. He was also a Heatwave. Not sure how he got classed. 30 kicked out, including about 15 full-blood Angus. Happens every year.

    Firewater Bull Question

Used him on a High Roller and an Angus. One steer is outstanding, huge bone, butt, top, smooth shouldered and great fronted. In a very attractive light yellow almost orange package. One of the best we have ever raised. The other is very white, a little younger and very green (mom didn't milk...
