Anyone have Executive Order calves on the ground? I have seen one bull calf and (oh boy) are they good. I have one coming end of April out of a Uno Mas / Grandmaster cow.
Don't mean to double dip on threads but curious if anyone has used this bull, have any calves out of him and what you think of him?

Justintime,
Thank you very much for the info. Both Touchdown and Free Spirit would fit the bill for sure. I guess it's up to my kids now. I appreciate the Shorthorn guys posting this info.
So getting ready to make our annual semen order. I always let the kids pick their bulls on their cows. My boy has a mutt. She is SH/Herf/angus cross. My least favorite cow of my boy's, but he loves the heck out of her. This will be her second calf. She currently has a heifer calf out of a...

I also like the embryo idea except we are probably 200+ miles from a technician or someone who can do it. I guess we would have to explore costs.
I have a good friend who has produced my neighboring county's 4-H and FFA champs the last several years in a row. ...

I was just hoping someone had more pics of the results they got and how the breeding made you say, "wow that calf...
So my friend as a rancher has a lot of commercial, "range cows" that spend most of their life on grazing permits in the desert scrounging through this drought and then surviving tough high desert winters. They are "survivors" and not "show cows". He just wants to get decent 4-H steers for his...
Try keeping him tied, head kinda high and just mess with his feet over and over again. Kinda like de-sensitizing a horse. Also work on getting him to "walk" into the set if that makes sense so you dont have to do a ton of foot moving.
