The research suggests not, creep feeding doesn't pay well enough for the labor required.  Yes the weight is higher put bigger weights pay less at market.  If you are going to raise show steers and heifers then I think you have to creep feed to get all growth possible. 

In regard to this question.  Are you saying too many are culled or not enough?  A CL that burst when barely touched should or should not receive an embryo?  Our vet is real picky, the next time he puts some in I thought about putting some cheap embryos in the ones he said were either too small...

Anybody feed corn stalks?  How?  How much are you paying if you can share?

Corn soybean meal and vita/minerals. Up corn as you get closer to slaughter. That's what I feed and have had good luck.

Looking to put our embryos in your cows.  Would prefer them to be in the east.  We are located in NC.  We are a registered angus heard and use mostly moderate to low birth weight bulls.  We like for our calves to be born from sept to decem.  If you can help let me know.

Does anyone know of any feedlots in the east that will do retained ownership on steers or heifers?  Don't really won't to send them to the mid west.

If freeze branding in the rain you would want to get the branded area really dry as the only liquid on the skin needs to not freeze at the temp of dry ice.  Transferring the cold to the hide would be limited through ice.  We have also found that misting the brand with ethanol or similar...

A different way of thinking about this: Teach all students/childeren how to deal with bullying.  As adults we are bullied in the work place and other places we visit.  We as adults usually don't think about it too much because we have learned how to deal with a bully.  That doesn't usually mean...
