Price and how far north of houston?

I am a Canadian who got lost 10 years ago and moved to Gulf Coast of Texas.  Steer is going to little county fair, where the classes are American, British and Exotic.  And yes, my daughter's choice of clothes could be better.  But I can't complain cause she doesn't mind getting dirty.

Thanks for the many responses.  Found a late May/June shorthorn that is too cheap to pass up for October county fair.  Just worried he may be too old to cut.

How old is too old to castrate bull calf?

Didn't say there was.  Just was worried original poster would not like me letting someone else know location of animal.

Been looking around, and these 16 ft Galvanized Livestock Cages that sit on flatbed trailer seem to be ideal for what I have plans for.  Any experience with them and any idea what they cost?  I've only found a single "used" one through my internet searches to do a cost comparison.
