    Thoughts on essential relax fit

Recently been looking into calf calming methods for a steer that we can't seem to fully break. We were told to try essential relax fit pellets. Anybody use them and know how well it works?

Putting a ring in a steers nose

the only thing we're worried about is the chance that putting one in will just anger him even more.

Putting a ring in a steers nose

We have a steer that at the moment is 1200 lbs, and is pretty aggressive towards my daughter (keeping in mind she is the only one that makes him act this way). Anytime she steps in the pin he instantly starts shaking his head, snorting, and eventually chases her. He's drug her multiple times so...

    Allergic Reaction

My show steer had recently been treated with  Ivomec pour on wormer (I know, not the best choice) and had an allergic reaction to it. It seems to have burnt his skin which is now falling off along with his hair. We have gotten most of the dead skin off but he is now basically bald on top of his...

    Steer is eating rocks/dirt

My steer has been eating rocks and making an effort to lick dirt every chance he gets. Also every now and then he decides to chew on wood. I know it must be some type of mineral/vitamin deficiency, but what products would anyone recommend?

    ringworm

How long does it take for the goat remedy to get rid of the ringworm. Also could we keep the goat for awhile or until the anysigns of ringworm are gone and then get rid of it? Not a huge fan of goats. haha

    ringworm

my steer has recently gotten ringworm on his head. I was wondering if anyone knows of any feed additives or remedies to get rid of it. The vet suggested Koppertox, but that will turn his head green. He is white and i also have a show coming up so that won't work.

The reason I'm  wanting to get his weight up quickly is because we have a few shows to get ready for in the next few months, but the county show is the most important.

my steer needs to gain weight!

Yes he has been wormed. No he is not penned up with any other cattle. The show feed we use is 12% protein and 2.5% fat content. The grain is our own mixture and is around 10% protein. The show feed we use is a grower. We have mixed extra cottonseed hulls into the mix, but he does not eat as well...

my steer needs to gain weight!

He's cleaning up most of his feed, leaving about a handful in the pan, but it takes him hours to finish it. I've calculated how much he needs to gain to reach my desired weight and its AT LEAST 3 lbs. He's eating perfectly fine now for the most part. He needs to gain 3 lbs a day everyday for the...

my steer needs to gain weight!

I live in Indiana. We have about 210 days. Hes getting approximately 20 lbs a day and its a half grain/half sweet show feed mix.. Some people have told me that i should add a filler, and others have said I should keep the ration I have if he eats it okay.
