I am looking for names of heifer and steer judges in the Oklahoma and Texas area. I have to turn in names for our spring show and have some suggestions but wuold like to know who else is out there.
What kind of cattle does the judge like? Please, no bashing of judges.

Thanks for your input.
Sounds like you have the basics down. I would like to make sure that the flooring is able to be cleaned very easily. Make sure you have plenty of power for fans and blowers. I would bring in at least a 50 amp service, 75 would be better.
I agree that the best way to break them is to get them to wanting water and they will usually walk to the tank and then you have to push them back to the barn. Usually about 1 to 2 weeks of this and they get the routine down. Then we start just walking them and taking different routes around...
I do not think this is a breed issue, we have had a couple that are very gentle and had a calf that was great, then the next calf was a psycho. Same breeding as the first. You just get some that are stupid.
