We just had an angus cow go 7 days over to BIM so I stopped at the vet and picked up some Dex and when I got home she was calving. 91lb heifer born in under an hour and sucking in 30 min. So maybe pick up some Dex and she will start!

I would look for a Polled Hereford bull called WLB Lego. We are using a son right now and are very pleased. Lots of vigor and super rib shape and top to the calves, havent seen any of them born and nothing over 81lbs. all out of first calf heifers.

We have had very good luck with fluid film! It has Lanolin in it which keeps the skin super soft.

Here is a rear view with his mom! I will try and get some better pics of the other 2 soon. We have a couple kids in 4H so they will maybe be 4H calves for next year.

Thanks for the comments, we only bred 3 to Eye Candy and had 2 bulls and the one heifer. Steerjockey we are E of Lloydminster. We are using more Eye Candy this year and were looking for other bulls that are as consistent as him any ideas?

We appreciate the comments they will be goin to our local fall show up here in about 2 weeks, so we will see how they behave and go from there. She is 9 and has been a cloverbud for 3 years so she will still probably go with the quieter one.

Let me know what you think of this Boyd Worldwide Heifer she was born 04/23/2011 I believe she is the first Worldwide in Canada. All opinions welcome.
