We will never compete with the labor of china who is going to work for a couple dollars a day. Do we tighten our restrictions on imported goods - higher import tax?  More tax incentives for businesses that stay in the US - but we are already in a huge deficit and with all this extra spending.

Unions were much need when we the government didn't have a minimum wage or requirements on safe working conditions.  Now they are nothing more than tax added to the cost of everything.
