Our FFA and AG Mechanics team recently did some 24" fan performance testing as part of a recent livestock building cooling project, professional testing equipment was used, 2 fans of each type were tested, and results were checked 3 times for accuracy.  We tested Daytons as well but one of the motors burnt up while testing so results are not included.  We also tested Patton pedestal fans but it was not competitive. Could vary from fan to fan, these were results from the fans our members brought for testing.  The fans were all pretty new.

Great experiment.  Should put in the cost of the fan too and some type of durability rating.  Looks like the Shaefer Cattle Cooler wins at least for a barn fan that doesn't get moved around too much.

Agreed. We really like the Schaefer barn fans. Too bad you couldn't have tested Sullivan's Barn Fan as well.

Neat, all very close.  Need to test blowers.

Only concern is that the fans were "pretty new".  Does a fan lose power as it gets older?  Probably not enough to skew results.
