For popping pasterns, I suggest one of the following: Multi-min, Copasure, BoSe or MuSe. I have had success with all of them. Just depends what I have handy at the time.

I went their as a youngster as well....great memories...I remember they played LBJ's favorite song in the tour cart..."Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" and a horse that he had in the barn named "Ole Blue"...beautiiful country at that time...not as scorched as today!

Have seen Power Plus throw some rat tails in the past...I have never been worried about it and have fed some rat tailed calves before...breed & reserve breed champions...if all that worries you is the tail and the calf is complete everywhere else...feed him is my advice. Good Luck!!

Ears and heads look right to me, however, clipping their heads might help as Jeff eluded to earlier.
