I just bought a 5' x 10' matt from Farm & Fleet for about $80. Took the sawzall to it and split it while still rolled up new and now have 2 30" x 10' matts. I've also been told the Prarie Du Chien Tractor Supply has bulk rolls to cut to length.

We have been feeding Lowline steers for the last several years. From what you have explained you are on a good track for a high % calf. This % should hit you into 750-800 lb range come fall and if you keep weighing and checking ADG low to mid two's is what you should expect. Have fun.
