Anybody watch the pen show at Louisville today. Curious what numbers and qualtiy were like.

Chopper is a purebred bull that would be one of my first choices. Calves are stout made, big bone, chubby and sound. Daughters are for sure the right kind to keep as cows and sons would either make great herd bulls or good doing feeders. Picture of the bull on Top Sires website.

Dan May in Stillwater, OK has a couple of maine heifers that looked real  good when I stopped by. Hairy and real stout made. Worth the trip. 

Also seen on Top Sires website they have sexed male and female semen avalable. Getting more popular it seems like.

Yellow jacket is a good choice just keep him on better fronted females. I have had some great heifers the last couple years. Just curious if you are looking for crossbred bulls or maine bulls to use. Dr who is a very consistent bull but would consider heat wave or a few heat wave sons for steers.

Did anybody see any maine bulls on display? Also what were the maine bulls like in the pen show or in the yards? Did any stand out that a guy should think about using? Looking for one to add bone and muscle. Any help would be helpful.Thanks

i had good luck with fluid film and then just keeping it covered with iodine. lots of good ideas. fulvicin is a good product if you can get it.
