    Suggestions on Simmental bulls

Would like suggestions on good Simmental bulls to use if you are looking for real world production but actually may get a flashy calf that could make the show ring. Some of these bulls that I would love to use just do not milk well unless it is already in the cows genes to milk. Most of our...

    Homeade Show Boxes

Has anyone tried to make a homeade show box or had one built.  We had a steel one built about 10 years ago and it is on its last leg and I really do not like it.  My husband and I cannot see spending $1000 to buy the new one we would like at Sullivans.  Nothing against them as we have bought...

    General Livestock Knowledge Bowl

My daughter has been on a general livestock knowledge bowl team for a couple of years. They have a lot of fun but really struggle. Does anyone know of any games that can be played to help study. I just think they rely on memory to much and my daughter said she is not good with memory. She learns...

    Getting weight on market heifer

We have a market heifer that currently weighs 680. Is it possible to get her to 1050-1100 lbs by July 21 and what do you recommend for feed. She is a little shorter in structure so keep that in mind. She has plenty of gut but I guess a little more wouldn't hurt.

    Online Sales

Just curious what everyone's thought are on all the online sales this year?  We have been watching quite a few this year and it seems that most of the club steers and heifers are going dirt cheap. Do you feel this is just because the cattle markets are so down or are the calves just that low of...
