Our county fair satarts August 7th.. Here is a pic of my son's Maine...Would like to get opinions on how he looks and what else can we do.  Son is finally hoping this one will be in the top of his breed.

I want to thank eveyone who put in their ideas on how to get our steer well and to make weight for the fair.  We are 2 weeks till fair and he weighed today at 1024lbs.. He needs to be at 1030lb for fair.. I think we will be just fine....This site has helped out sooo sooo much...Thanks again...

Had a older post where I needed to gain 100 lbs in a month to make weight.  At our county fair in kansas we have to make 1000lbs  plus 1.8 bs per day.... Our steer was doing great till last part of June and then nothing.. As of July 11 he weighed 940lbs.  He stopped eating much and stopped...

Hey  Going along with my other post need to gain 100 lbs in a month here is my next challenge...He has not wanted to eat hay for over a month now.. Got fresh and still nothing.  Likes grass but been told thats a no no for show steers.. any suggestions.

I am looking for a used cattle blower by Aug 9th.. Might have to buy new but if I can find used that would be better.. I am in the Kansas City area.

Ok for some odd odd reason our show steer has been eating great through the month on June and then we had a hot spell about a week ago.. Went to weigh the steer and it showed he only gained 20lbs from the first of june to yesterday.. Need to gain 100lbs in 27 days.. ANY suggestions or is my son...
