Is there a market for good purebred steers?

personally it feels like these crossbred steers have made it really hard for a papered angus steer to go and compete unless they are being shown by breed... thus the question

    Pic's of our calves

Just a thought but Hair may sell cattle... but you sure as heck aren't going to eat it and it sure as heck doesn't make a steer or heifer any sounder or more productive (in a heifers case)... something to consider... None the less they both seem to be 2 very nice animals, give the cream heifer...

    Igenity vs. Pfizer HD50k tests

While at NJAS in Louisville, 50k was a clinic they held and from my understanding on how it works is as follows: Basically gives a animal a 10-15 calf head start You may or may not have a result in your favor and regardless of weather it's in your favor it WILL change his/her epds and acc...

its ALL red, white, and roan under the hide!

My whole point in posting isn't about weather or not 2 cull are sound or not... Its about one associations work to promote their breeds color and one with little or no attempt to do the same thing with its breeds colors

    What to breed her too?

Idk about your "There is so many straight black Angus back in this country that a lot of people are looking for susbstitute" you look into the club calf and you see ALOT of angus blood in these cattle.  Monopoly is into the 60%+ angus catagory... don't think they are looking for a substitute

    2012 bulls

Never have saw BIM my guess is BIM was bigger at the same age. Be pretty hard to find one smaller than Ohio Senator was back in Feb and to be honest didn't seem to have a whole lot of signs to get a ton bigger.

    2012 bulls

Thank goodness he wont have to breed too many by natural service. I saw him at beef expo back in Feb. I believe, seems like he would have trouble breeding any thing not lowline or mini's

What do you think of these pairings?

If i were you i would consider using Brilliance or Free Spirt for some of those Angus cows.

    butt fan stand?

A few years back as a 4-H welding project i built one more of less out of pure scrap 1" square tube we had laying around. I looked at the fan we have being a 24" fan i made the stand 20" wide to give it plenty of stability, mine was basically made looking at show supply catalogs.

    Bull Bracket

Don't just look at your clubbies, some of these clubby bulls are out of good angus dams. So think about those good non clubby bulls(doesn't mean look at angus means look at all breds). Some bulls to add to your list would be (i know someone said after 2008 but these guys are some of the greats...
