    Show Ring Bling????

I am a mom of 2 kids, boy and girl, showing steers and heifers in Texas...the "birth place of bling".  Luckily for me my daughter has conservative taste, a little sparkle to be trendy, but not excessive.  Texas does most things in excess,  so why stop at the show ring..lol! Typical dress for...

breeds getting carried away! after watching the expo

Along the same lines...I live in Texas, transplanted from Montana, where American cattle were few and far between.  I watched the ABC's classify at Ft. Worth, and I was amazed at how many hairy, exotic steers with some sheath and brisket got in, and consequently, the higher percentage American...

    Wanting Red Angus maternal bulls

This is our Berry Cherry out of an LCC Market Place/Shiny Hood cow of Tims.  We have another daughter that is out of a Major League/Buf Crk Marias cow, and she is equally as feminine and even deeper ribbed than this one.  From what we have seen, he seems to stamp them like this.

Texas, did you get any rain?

We got a little under 3" in Blanco, which is between Austin and SA.  they got up to 5" in SA and around 4 west of there.  It is a gorgeous site to see the grass peeking through in a green tint!  Just pray more is on the way!  Not even griping about the mud, and dirty calves!!  (clapping)

    The Red Angus Post

Thank you, she was in tough company in OK..we were very pleased with the win.  The plans are to make it to KS.  The NAJRAS has done an incredible job with this event.  It is one of the most exhibitor friendly shows we go to.

    The Red Angus Post

Love this thread!!  It is about time the Reds get some love.  Just wanted to brag a bit on two of my kids' show heifers.  Both come from Tim Shick's TJS Red Angus in Lodge Grass Montana.  Paternal sisters by his Mulberry son Berry Cherry.  Keep up the promo....go RED! BTW RW...Nolind is a super...

    Your experiences...

@rtmcc---I can relate.  I was trying to drag my son's steer into the trim chute, which I had done everyday before, when all of a sudden I heard a loud pop...kinda like a champaigne cork.  Only there was NO bubbly!!  I fell to the ground, rolling around in immense pain, holding my knee, and...

best way to "get ears" on photos?

I have been at horse shows where they used a mirror. Seemed to work really well.  Also a broom and pom poms.

    Ipad

Anyone feel free to answer this...My daughter is about to graduate, and I am going to get her an apple of some sort.  Which do y'all prefer...Ipad or Mac Book?  We have been PC peeps, but want to change.  The Ipad looks sleek and sexy, but would it be the right choice for her college computer? ...
