Update from our fair last week, Caitlin was champion in sewing for the third year running!! She was actually big enough to reach the foot pedal this year and would kick me out of the room once she made sure were she was supposed to sew, already looking forward to next years project.
She also had champion simmental and reserve supreme female. The heifer was giving her a hard time and her 60 pounds wasn't enough to show well and she got outshown in the final drive, we were still tickled though! It is so much fun when you raise the calf! We also had 4 steers at our fair that we has raised and sold, one blue ribbon winner, one was champion simmental, one reserve champion simmental and one was champion maine. The neat part of that was two of the calves were out of Caitlins show heifers here first year in 4-H. Gotta love those family lines!
