she's borderline straight.. was straight as a calf, but since she's turned cow.. she's gotten alot more flex, and can hit her track with ease..

Looks like Jimmy Greek calf turned out. Are you wanting shorthorn marked calves?
Heat Seeker himself the original might work esp with WMW in her pedigree. They seem to click. HS on Who's. You might get a solid red one out of her.
I don't really care about color.. black seems to win, and no one wants a roan for market. I'm a roan lover, but I guess its time to wake up and smell the roses.
The JtG calf was a pretty good calf, especially for her 1st.. unassisted, 60 some lb range.. His problem was a lack of grow... He was too dinky for me, personally. I'm not sure how he finished as an actual fat, but the shwo story behind him getting shown as a 800 lb fat, will knock your boots off (since he was a fall born, and shows around here are July/ Aug) Anyways, the 800 lb steer was Reserve Overall as a fat- and the judged stated on the mic that he was by far the best steer of the day, just didn't have the weight on him... <rock>
The JtG is also clipped out in the picture, where as the others aren't.. and the R/W calf is at a funky angle.. but he was thicker than the jtG.
I think this last calf is the best one, but in that picture he was only a couple days old... We held her over to start getting spring calves from now on, since fall born clubby type deals don't sell real well in the midwest. The cows biggest fault, has to be frame size- she's just under a 5, and she has a tendancy to breed them on small. I personally, would like to deepen her out body wise- but she's not had a problem putting plenty of guts in her sons, regardless of what the sire had for middle..
Thankss for the suggestions.. I'll be doing some research.
