GOT to also remember that a lot of our black sale barn cattle  now finish 1500+  like the Holsteins use to ....I was worried about using some of these smaller bulls on my cows an soon figured out that if you have a good solid breeding cow she can raise a 1350 lb steer pretty easy in my herd out of a clubby bull...    If you have a clubby bred  cow mated to clubby bull there are more problems getting that growth...  I think thats why a lot of people are going to simmi to get a more consistant cow of moderate size ....I have a prime example in my herd , a Carnac x Charolais bred to WHO mADE wHO the steer is down there close to that pud  area ....When it comes breeding time I think thats why we all buy semen on different bulls to fit the female that we are breeding to ...
