American Royal Lodging

Where does everybody stay when going to the American Royal?  Last year we stayed over by Arrowhead and Kaufman Stadiums.  It seems like everything is over a mile away and the downtown stuff is fairly expensive.  Just curious if the general consensus is to stay 5 miles away or if there's anything reasonably close and reasonably priced.

Try just across the river in Kansas City Ks.  If you are not from here hard to tell but about 1/2 mile west of the Am. royal is Kansas.  Hilton Garden Inn is good.

We just stay south of KC into Kansas at the Value Place Inn.  I think its around $179 a week and its a studio apartment with a kitchen, fridge ect.
