Jason...March marks Cathy's (Red's passing)  can you make the planet red again for her memory?  I think it would make everyone remember what a wonderful lady we had the pleasure of meeting thru SteerPlanet!  I think everyone that got to know her on here would agree, she made our life a little brighter!

Thanks Jason, I think she set the tone for this board, and most of us stuck because of her. (angel)

I will always miss Cathy and I hope the family is doing well.

As far as I'm concerned this will always be Red's website and I try to remember the core values she taught us.

Great idea justme! Like others have said, Steerplanet wouldn't be the same today if it weren't for Red. She set tone and was really nice and kept her patience with new members as they learned the site....Oh yeah she also gave the best advice!!!

There is hardly a day when I come to SP that I don't think about Cathy  ( Red) . Many times I read someone's post and I think" I wonder what Red would think about that comment?"  I agree with Telos that I will always miss her on SP. I never got to meet her in person, but she used to phone me on occasion and we had some great visits. Our last conversation was just a few days before she passed away, and I remember the complete state of shock I was in when I heard that she was gone. Guess that should be a lesson to us all that we have no idea when our turn is next, and that we should live and love each day as if we will not be here tomorrow.

I knew her for a long time before SP. I gave red her name and she liked it - it stuck. We had our ups and downs  - the board is a whole lot less civil with her gone - RIP

I agree Red was the heart of this board.    We are still waiting on our first red calf of the year!

I never got a chance to personally meet her, just knew her through her posts and conversation on here.  The tone of the planet has definitely changed since she has been gone :(

That is sooo true. I have thought several times about what Cathy (Red) would say to some of our posts. She was such a true heart and helped me out alot when I first joined (and borrowed sisters account before I got mine). She is truly missed by all her. Rest In Peace Dear RED! :'(

Cathy was truly an amazing person. She kept her illness very low keyed and lived her life to the end, going to livestock shows and making cookies. I meet her at the NAILE and feel honored to have been in her company. We sat and watched the Shorthorn show for several hours and she was really happy.

I think one of the reasons this board has been so successful ( I know it's relative) is because of some of the core values she instilled. She personally called many of us to join on in the beginnig. This is a unique board for all of us to not only discuss livestock but other topics that relate to our lives. i believe Red wanted this for all of us.

I remember Cathy calling me one Saturday morning telling me she had a  new red bull calf born.  She had this infectious funny giggle while she was explaining the birth this new calf and was so happy. I'll never forget that.

Steer Planet was her love and Legacy. So I hope everyone can respect Red's wishes and always be nice and help whenever we can.
