This summer was probably the hottest / muggiest we have had, that I can remeber. We had one week with heat indexes staying over 112 even at midnight. Upper 90's with dew point temps in the low 80's...miserable for all living creatures. Our Galloways out on pasture (no shade) did just fine. We had a few heifers and a yearling bull up in the yard, where there was absolutely no air movement, and they came out ok, but looked tough a couple of days. The Galloways didn't seem to suffer anymore than the Angus cattle in the same pasture, and the Galloways weren't concerned at all about the flies and mosquitos.
Hmmmm , i think it may be safe to say that he would be the only one laughing in a blizzard with 50 mph winds in the middle of Glasgo in January !!! If you catch my drift........
