Nothing at all wrong with that.  The judge needs to be focusing on 1) the quality of your animal and 2) your ability to handle the animal.  Imo, nothing else should even be considered.

(lol) don't know if its meant to be funny but i laughed/
Talk about making a statement, pretty sure he wont even notice it. If the judge knocks you for your buckle then clearly he/she missed the point of the exercise.

I'd rig that thing into a heifers ear. Everyone knows dirty cattle are the best.

I think you're on to something.... From now on-- we need to write THC on our eartags, instead of HW, regarless of anything else...  Think of it this way-- sell that calf- cut the tag out-- and you can reuse it for however long you raise cattle.. Money saving equals show winning, and money generating.

If I were judging, I might notice it and I might not. And even if I did, it shouldn't influence my opinion of you or your calf. I can understand why you asked the question, and having daughters, I can understand why some people might find it off-putting. I think it depends on your age...I think it's less appropriate for young girls...say under 15 or 16 and mature enough to understand the difference between literal translation and having a sense of humor. I assume the heifer's name was "Dirty Girl"?...and I think putting it on the buckle was intended as tongue-in-cheek. I don't think the maker of the buckle meant for it to be translated as a label like a scarlet A sewn on your dress...

I doubt that I'd notice it.  However, I think there could be some judges, especially the old school ones, that might not appreciate the humor.  I prob'ly wouldn't wear it in showmanship if I was wanting to win - judges tend to pay more attention to (and be more crirical of) that sort of thing there, but I doubt it'd hurt you otherwise.

If you have to ask yourself that question then the answer is yes. It is no different than some one wearing sweat pants that say juicy on the back. But it is a nice looking buckle.

I would think the judge would only notice it while trying to take a pic after the show...much more relaxed and you tend to have time to notice... <beer>

Imo, as someone who is very particular about my showmanship and have many pet peeves in the class.  I would say it is fine...I'd rather be beaten by you wearing it, than a girl with her boobs hanging out, or her shirt half way up her back.  It might be blessing under many judges LOL.
