We used 0665 as a test run for shooting our videos for our online sale.  He is 2-3 weeks removed from being pulled from 60+ cows.  He has earned senior herdsire duties at Hahn Family Shorthorns due to his calves' vigor, great skeletons, and added mass.  His ASA # is 4171128 if you would like to check his EPDs or a still pic from winter 2012.  Our in-herd data on 0665 includes an average BW of 81.8 and an average gestation of 283.5 days.  His oldest two calves (both steers) had an average IMF of 7.61 at 410 days.

His service is available in some of the bred females we will be selling on cwcattlesales.com in two weeks.  We also have a couple of sons available that will, if not sold by then, be offered this spring in our first online bull offering.

Shameless plug - There are videos of the heifers on youtube.com, search Hahn Family Shorthorns.  Most are linebred or stem from DPH Contender SP2104, a bull we had a lot of fun showing but have found much more through his, his sons', and his grandsons' service (including our new junior sire, Hahn Chosen C14Z).  Contender's EPD profile may read as good as most any in the breed.  Better than breed average calving ease and BW, breed leading MCE, explosive breed leading growth, value adding carcass traits, as well as composite indicies for $F and $BMI in the top 1%.

He has nice calving ease numbers (thumbsup) His actual birth of 76 and adjusted yearling weight of 1164 are very impressive as well. Nice looking bull.

Hes alot like some of the Lauer cattle-there is good Cholesteral and bad Cholesteral-just like good Enticer and BAD Enticer-he"s wound up with the good Enticer-which are the easiest calving cattle in the breed (with any size). Go figure-Enticer was a so-called cow killer and sire of monster 3000 plus pound bulls like Deertrail Awesome (or was HE?) either way-hats off to that side of the family-and theyve been linebred like the Irish cattle.
