I didn't realize this but,  Banamine is prescribed to given IV.

Now, I know we all "read" the labels but I can't be the only one who didn't know.

That has been stated on this board MANY MANY times by DL, most of us just don't use it that way and I know my vet doesn't prescribe it that way.

We always IV it due to the fact it can and will cause an abcess every now and then and they are a mess to clear up.

get this, if you need to administer it to a horse and don't have a clean bottle top to load your syringe with (you know like you've been doctoring your cows with it and only have one bottle), you can give 150% the recommended dose orally.

I don't care how or when you all use banimine, you all know the speech.....well maybe you don't if you didn't know banamine was suppose to be IV'd, but
I WOULD NOT give 150% orally. but whatever, your animal, your decision.
