We use a wireless baby camera. The same model that we use can be found for 70 something bucks. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=Cj0KEQjw1NufBRCx8ayaqY2t6KkBEiQA2nLWm6DGh0-gjnuuXlVW7-_sfCi6q-0G-8qPsmB4x4TYm10aAm3B8P8HAQ&Item=N82E16881650010&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-IP+%2f+Network+Cameras-_-N82E16881650010&ef_id=U0TIrQAAAHszvCxO:20140822222642:s  It can be linked to an app on your phone, or you can pull it up on your computer. I can be inside doing homework, while watching first calf heifers calve all at the same time. And for seventy bucks it saved us a lot of stress. We could be at family parties and just pull up the camera on our phones to check the ones in due to calve.

l have a system purchased from Lorex technologies.  It has been very handy.  I will echo a few things from previous posts:  you don't disturb the cows, you don't have to throw on coveralls when it is 30 below to run out to the barn at 3:00 am, my wife es it when I am traveling.  I do not have 7 miles from barn to the house.  However a coworker does.  He gets a web IP address just during calving season.  It is not cheap, but he can view from anywhere that he can get a wireless single on a computer or smart phone.
