Ran across this bull the other day. What are your guys thoughts? Love his style combined with the depth of rib, with heifer safe (although not proven) EPD's. Really considering using him on a clubby heifer or two.

Edit: He is a PB Angus

Thanks for the link CAB. I saw on Apex Cattle's site that they used him, so maybe they will have some calves out of them in there upcoming sale.

Barstow Cash is a young bull that has been overwhelmingly accepted across the angus breed.  When he sold, Eldon Krebs sent out an e-blast with a video about the bull.  In the video Eldon was extremely excited about the bull which speaks volumes.  Cash has sired many high dollar embryos.  I have not seen any calves though.  He is pretty cool, but time will tell.

Hear of people using him on heifers?

I know that Cottonwood, K Bar D, and Ok. State University have all use him on first calf Angus heifers.  Seems BW range from 69 - 83 lbs.  I would call Eldon Krebs for his opinion, but Cash appears quite smooth shouldered and his EPDs are Angus heifer acceptable.

It has been over a year since this post was active and we are interested in using him in our small Angus herd. I was curious what recent calf crops have looked like out of him.

Virtually all of our calves end up in the show ring and we've built up a small but strong base of customers in our heifers. Our cows have solid numbers across the board, so we are not pushing any specific trait. However, since our herd is so small, we don't use a cleanup bull - so fertility is a premium for us. Phenotypically, our herd has good structure, mass, and most have excellent body capacity. We'd like to clean up our front ends a little and some could use a shot of extra bone.

Besides Cash, what are your thoughts? Our blood lines include Vermilion Payweight/Dateline, TC Stockman 365, BC Marathon, and Soo Line Motive.

Dameron's American Classic is one beast of a bull.  Best sire group at Dameron's this year, IMO.  My sister spent her last semester of University working there and they were by far her favorite group as well.  Much better in their pastern and general soundness than most First Class related animals.
