We just used the heavy type shavings, the fine shaving blow all over. We just put them down about 6 inches deep and then soak them down. Gets rid of dust and packs them down pretty good. And I'll be honest if they are in good shape I'll pick the brown lumps out of it and put another bag over them for the next trip. If their pretty messed up then I'll clean them out.

Cedar fiber by a mile ,protects trailer from rust ,repels insects in summer ,wet down good ,also keeps trailer smelling better and has good absorption for long haul and won't start heating like other beddings after getting wet ........Unbeatable ...

I was thinking cedar fiber. But once you take plexi out how much will the cedar fiber blow around?

Unless your trailer has a vent space near the bottom it will work fine. Put it in and stomp it down then wet it with a hose and it will last awhile.
