I was wondering what does beet pulp really do for a steer? Also is it really needed if your already feeding a complete show feed? Also when should you feed it? ???
it does nothing except make a calf feel fuller than he really is.we mix it in well and feed it dry to minimize the amount of feed you need to fill the Gut on that calf.around here we feed it dry becuse once he drinks it will expand greatly and help you out with expanding rib cage, if you feed it wet. its alredy expanded and there fore does not get bigger inside him, not helping rib shape is what makes a calf 'well held' different from a calf that looks stale, thats just how we see itPaFFA Proud said:I was wondering what does beet pulp really do for a steer?
