British Heifer classes

This is probably a dumb question, but do they have classes for British heifers? My neighbor told me that besides registered heifers, everything automatically goes into "crossbred." But I know at most shows and at my fair there are purebred, british, continental, and AOB for steers. Thanks for your help.
