Calf cant stand

Just had a calf born dose not seem to be able to use it's back legs, was not there to see the cow calve, it can move front legs and tail, seems to have the shivers over the entire body, but it's just above zero. Anybody had anything lie this happen or thnk what it could be?or what to di

Has it got any feeling in it's back legs at all?  Have you felt along the spine to feel any obvious gaps or problems?

Does your vet recommend Bo-Se?

Have you gotten colostrum in it?

It appears to have abit of movement in the back legs, also it has been wagging its tail, could not feel anything wrong, was born about 3 hrs ago, going to give it a ottaw shortly

Get colostrum in him and get him warmed up.  If his mouth is cold he needs to get warmed up immediately.  If he is in bad shape body temp wise, put him in the bathtub with about 104 degree water.

I almost wonder if it's a bit of a vitamin deficiency? Perhaps White muscle? We've never had it in new born calves, but we have seen it in calves a week - 2 weeks or so old, and they act the way you're describing. Definitely keep us posted.

White muscle is possible could be a systemic eye infection (rare)but most don't get it till their a little older ... Best bet is Bo se. Like previously posted and maybe dex if u think it might of got stepped on to releave swelling if suspect some ... Other wise colostrum and prop him up over ur knee and let him try and get them legs moving to help loosen things up. Let me know what u get figured out
