can warrant throw red calves?

Yes with Warrant not being homo black and sired by Heat Wave, he will throw red calves sometimes just like Warrant's sire Heat Wave.

Great thanks, i couldn't find anywhere where it says that he is or isn't homo black.  Had a white calf out of him i guess (cow is roan) so i need to do some investigating and see if i got a red or white roan.

We had a blue roan out of a shorthorn cow and warrant couple years ago.

Any black bull can throw a blue roan if bred to a roan or white (due to double roan, not dilution) cow.

I get that, but my dad says this calf only has a black nose.  So my guess is it is a blue roan, but just not showing the dark color, what does everyone else think?

He may get some more roaning as he grows up.  We've had a few Shorthorn calves come as solid white with red ears and later on they had roan tails and necks.

There will be no pics of this calf.  I am disgusted, yuck a white calf that probably looks like a white shorthorn.
