Can you hoof trim heavy bred cows?

Can you hoof trim heavy bred( beginning of third trimester) cows on a tip table without problems? I have heard it both ways yes and no but looking for opinions on here.

What happens if you do? All I hear is no but never a reason not too.

We trim all of our dairy cows when they are dry (0-60 before calving). Been doing it 10 years never had a problem. Had lots of cows calve in the next day or two and everything was just fine.
