Cattle AI schools in CA

Does anyone know of any cattle AI schools in California?

Contact your local ABS, Select Sires, or Accelerated Semen rep-- those are the three big companies that host annual training in our area.

Also, contact they very agricultural oriented junior college, or University Ag Program Advisors in your area... these are usually the locations of those three semen companies trainings.

Do you take these sorta of classes in schools? What sort of things do they teach you?

I'm taking one hosted at Shasta junior college in march.

I took mine while I was in JuCo.. b/c I was on a full ride scholarship through livestock judging it was also free- but sponsored by ABS Global.  I think most offer the course for $500-- or you purchase $500 worth of semen from them. 

They teach you how to AI a cow.  usually a 2 or day and half course-- about half in classroom, half in a sale barn somewhere practicing on cull cows, usually Holsteins. 

When i was at the University- I assisted with a couple of courses-- and of which was exactly the same as when I took it.
