article talks about how JBS is supposedly trying to minimize cattle sourced from deforested land. not sure how they can do that, since most of it was deforested at some point? there could be lots of grasslands originally, but article did not point this out.

cool pictures. it's pretty clear that people are moving to where food shelter and water are. america. can't blame them. evading governmental chaos, decades of the US giving away food and destroying legacy knowledge to grow food is destroying the globe and forcing people to move to and create even more cities, essentially, reforesting the world with cement and high density housing with a hurdle too high to live causing homelessness etc. our government continually legislatively reinforces consolidation with subsidies, tax breaks etc. outside of natural consolidation due to inefficiencies. the tax code makes this even more evil. people too concerned with other things to notice.

In 40 years, the Amazon has lost an area as big as California to deforestation.

America has similar statistics, china, Madagascar, everywhere.

the issue isn't really too many people, it's the continued doubling of the population. america and many countries would have negative population but for immigration.

really, the only successful solution to that is to increase the annual salary, which we don't seem able to do in enough countries
