I thought this was a nice thing to do so I'm passing it along.
GREAT  IDEA!!    When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and
send it to this address.  If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these
wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.

When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:

            A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical  Center
        6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
        Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

If you approve, please pass it on.

I did this last year and all of them were returned to me. Something about since 9/11 they can't send mail without a recipients name on it. I was upset that I used postage for it. And, as posted on snopes.com, they won't accept them. http://www.snopes.com/politics/christmas/walterreed.asp

It is a wonderful idea. I even put little silver crosses with a poem on them in with the card. I would go with the other one that was posted. I didn't want anyone to waste postage and paper on this version. I have a cousin about to head out on his second tour of duty and I know how this war is touching so many families.

God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving.
