Coughing 2 month old calf

Calf is 2 months old went out tonight and it was running around, but i noticed it had a cruppy kind of cough, and a little mucous coming out its nose. Ill keep an I on her, but was wondering what to treat her with. If a shot, of what and how much?

phenomena Nuflo (not sure on spelling) but its the micrale drug for us because it made almost a dead calf a whole new calf in just 24 hours. Call vet asap though.

Forbes is right, it is the best new drug out there. I think it is Nuflor, it has to be perscribed by or come from a vet directly. good luck.

I'd try the baytril first and if it doesnt work use the micotil, its about as strong as you can get. Make sure you don't get hit with any of it though as its deadly to people!

I would vote for Draxxin. Expensive yes but it was made with bovine respratory disease in mind. It is fast, lasts long and takes only 1.1CC per 100 lbs. Also goes through the syringe easily and poses no risk to you if you get stuck by a needle.

it could just be pollen.........or dusty hay. what color is the musous? temperature? I wouldn't go poking anything just yet

I am going to check her this morning and see how shes doing. Just started her on creep, has the medicine in it, well see, but if she looks worse Ill give her a shot of baytril. I t has worked great for me on show calves I have bought.
