Disappearing hair!!!!

We washed and dried yesterday and everything was ok. Start blowing the steer out tonight and there is a 2-3" patch of hair missing right behind the right front leg.Gone! Vanished!! Now panicking!!! Any idea what happened or what to do? Have also been dealing with pretty bad dry skin, does anybody have any good rag oil mixes they wouldn't mind sharing? Thanks in advance ??
