We have a really nice PB all white shorthorn steer that is a full brother to our bull RR Tommy Boy. He is really nice but getting very big. Not sure we can keep him at a reasonable weight till our county fair in August. I was just wondering if anyone has earlier fairs and looks for January born steers? Also if it's too late to sell him if all the county 4-H cut off dates have passed? Appreciate any info.
Thanks.

If he will keep his fresh look at 1400 or so,there are folks here in Wisconsin that will show January calves. Wisc. State Fair is in August also and most countie fairs are after the State Fair. Check in dates for Wisc. State Fair and subsequent county fairs is Dec. 30 and 31st.

There are lots of June and July fairs in Ohio. January calves do well. Our fair unfortunately is September.
