Double jointed calf? Defect?

Just had a calf die that was born with a structural deformity.  He looked to be double jointed?  He couldn't move well, when he did he would roll his front shoulder.  The hind legs were spread significantly with the lower hip stifle area extended outward.  You could flex his hock, but when he stood the hind legs were straight as a 2x4.

Wanted to see if anyone knows if this some type of disorder?  or just freak of nature/bad luck?  The calf's sire was Hairy and his dam was a Angus-Heatwave cow that is Th free.  The crazy thing is we lost our other Hairy calf last year due to joint problems.  Our vet was conviced it was a naval infection that had spread to the joints, but never showed any sign of infection at the naval.  After this incident it's got me wondering if there is some disorder we're not aware of.  Not trying to bad mouth Hairy just relating it to see if it makes any sense to anyone.

Never had one like that but we had a naval infection before in a calf, but we were able to shake it.

if its doing what I think its doing it should be alright.  We have a Heatwave cow that gets bred to dirty hairy every year the calves tend to get straight off there backs and kinda double joint over when they try to walk.  you might need to babysit the calve for a month or so.  Getting it up to suck and bottle feeding it, but ours come out of it and do just fine.  The first year we bred her that way we didn't want to sell the calve because we new how he looked, but he turned out perfectly fine, and won some money from him.
