Use another dry erase marker and color over the words and then wipe clean.  Hard to believe but it works!

what stan said!  this will even work if you accidently use a permanent marker on a dry erase board instead of a dry erase marker....personal experience!

In my experience, using the chemicals has always resulted in the dry erase board becomming harder and harder to erase in the future.

The mark over it and erase that thing does the trick.
