He was born in October and had a 68 pound birth weight.  He is out of a first calf Freebird heifer.  No creep and will be weaned next week.

If one were to take a tape and measure his heart girth and then measure his flank 'girth,' which measurement would read greater?

I am sure he would measure larger through his flank.  He is very wide over his top and pins.  Not saying he is not good in his forerib he is just really good in his flank and belly.

That's what I'm seeing too.  I'd like to see him in person but he looks wedge shaped from the pic.

He is wedge shaped.  Ryan you are welcome to come up and see him any time.  As of right now we are planning on taking him to Tulsa State Fair, Arkansas Sate Fair, Lousiana State Fair, Kansas City, Denver and Fort Worth.  If you are at any of those you will have to look us up.

Updated picture of Freedom.  He is 10 months old in this picture and weighing around 1000 pounds. He is on track to have a 1150-1200 pound yearling weight.  Not overwhelming but considering he weighed 68 at birth I feel like that is pretty good.

I have seen him in person, 3 times. He keeps looking better, and, better, each time I see him.
