We are in the process of putting up a barn that has an open front with runs going outside that we can put the calves in at night when we take them out of the cooler.  The barn is 40' long and 12' foot wide containing four 10' by 12' stalls separated by gates and the open front. We are just worried that it might get a little warm at night with no air movement.  Looking for fans to put in it and just have a couple questions.  What fans would work best, how many and where to place them.  Any advice would help. Thanks!

If you aren't planning on moving them for a long time, we like the Schaefer 36" barn fans. They move a lot of air and seem to hold up really well. We have 4 of them and have had them for about 10 years and run them all almost every day from daylight to dark. Never had a problem with them. However, if you want a fan to use in the barn and take to shows , get a Sullivan turbo.
