feeding a may steer for a late july fair

i have a hairy bear X heat wave steer thats just awesome. but i just need to make sure he gets above or around 1260 to 1300. any feed or tips you might have for me?

what does your calf weigh now and what has been his average daily gain so far?  Also do you have a framescore or hip height you could tell us?  Some people see it differently but I think there is a lot of difference in feeding small framed cattle and larger ones.  Also what are you feeding now and how much?
