Freeze brand size

Looking into having a personalized freeze brand made.  It will be used on the front shoulder of young calves (400-600lb). Not sure what is the right size of brand to get.  I know that the brand will increase in size as the animal grows.  Is 2in too big?  Thanks in advance

If you want the brand to be noticeable from a distance, I would go for a 3- 3 1/2 inch.

Our brand is 4 inches, and we brand calves at weaning. Our two year olds have a brand that is around 6 inches by the time they grow. But we want it big enough to see from a distance.
