Went home from my "real" job to eat lunch today, and found my old cow starting to calve. Wasn't sure if I was going to have to leave her and go back to work or if I should stay home and watch- she is a '98 model so I've been a little nervous about her. But in less than 15 minutes she had a dandy little heifer out and she was up cleaning her off. <party> After the last couple years I was beginning to think my small herd was not worth the heartache I was having, but this year I'm 3/3 black heifers with no problems, I guess perseverance does pay off! No if only I can figure out and get some bull calves next year… <beer>
