This is our first time posting anything so please be patience.    We have 12 2009 registered Hereford heifers for sale as a group.  These heifers were sold but the person had an unforeseen emergency and backed out.  We know it is late in the season but this is a rare opportunity to purchase a great group of replacement heifers from a long time Hereford breeder.    We are located about 20 miles south of Des Moines, IA and asking $1,200 per head.  These heifers were open but now we have started AIing to CKP Kain 0733(polled) and SS Kodiak 56N(Polled)  for March calves.  We estimate these heifers are weighing between 850 and 950.

We had not intended to sell these heifers but after review of our herd realized we have a lot of young cows in production and these replacement quality heifers are not needed.    March/April/May birth dates, 7 Polled and 5 Dehorned, moderate framed and great dispositions.

Sires are:
CJH 9005 Advance 419 (42537009)  Purchased at  Harland Herefords, Oklahoma, 2005 dispersal sale and is a half brother to Harland.  We have many daughters in production.

HH Matrix S317  (P42725022)  Purchased from Hoffman Herefords, Leola, South Dakota.

CKP Kain 0733 (P42837792) SB 122L Git-R-Done 19R  son purchased from Pelton Polled Herefords, Haliday, North Dakota.  Used heavily on first calf heifers and has been one of the easiest calving bull for heifers.

There are a few pictures of the heifers on our website under the for sale tab:  www.breedingcattlepage.com/amos

EPD average for the group on birth weight is +3.75 and average milk is +18.5. A complete list of registration numbers are available.

Joe Rickabaugh from  the Hereford Association saw these heifers the first part of April and you are welcome to call him. 1-816-842-3757

Iowa is a brucellosis free state so these heifers were not calfhood vaccinated since we were not intending to sell them therefore if sold out of state a phone call to your state veterinary office is needed to find out what health requirements are needed.

Serious inquiries only, please.    Our intentions are to sell these heifers as a group since it would be very hard to divide.  Payment by certified check.

General questions post here or call Craig for more information:  cell 515-238-9852 or evenings after 8:00 pm 515-961-5847.
Again be patience with us since this is our first time posting.  Thank you for your time.

We would entertain offers on a smaller group if the group of 12 is too many for your situation.  Thanks for your time.

Thank you Herefordfootball.  I know we are biased but this is great group of heifers.

I would like to add a comment about their dispositions.  We worked them this  weekend and  can honestly say if you had an entire herd like this you would be spoiled.  They were the easiest bunch of heifers to handle and run through the chute.
